HP Indigo announced a multi-year agreement with Shutterfly for the deployment of 35 HP Indigo 120K digital presses, with the first phase set for 2026. The announcement comes as HP and Shutterfly mark 25 years of collaboration, dating back to 2001, when Shutterfly installed its first HP Indigo press.

As part of the agreement, Shutterfly will upgrade its entire fleet of HP Indigo B2 digital presses to HP Indigo 120K digital presses.

“This decision is about positioning Shutterfly for the next phase of growth,” said Dwayne Black, Shutterfly Chief Operations Officer. “For 25 years, HP Indigo has been a trusted collaborator as we scaled personalization and innovation across our operations. Upgrading our entire fleet will drive meaningful efficiencies and quality in our peak season, and more broadly reflects our confidence in the technology, the collaboration, and the long-term opportunities ahead as digital production continues to evolve.”

In other HP news, Eastern Canadian photo printer Advertek Inc. ordered an HP Indigo 18K Digital Press at the recent Dscoop Edge Rockies event. The move continues the expansion of Advertek’s capabilities into the book and photo printing markets, especially following the acquisition of Custom Colour Imaigng (CCI) two years ago.
